The Licking County Library (LCL) has been serving Licking County since 1908. LCL enriches lives by connecting our community with the world of ideas and information. Angel Paws/R.E.A.D.'s "Puppy Tales" library program first debuted at LCL in 2006. Children signed up in advance for a private 20 minute R.E.A.D. session with an Angel Paws literacy mentor and Pet Partners Therapy Dog every week for 6 weeks & twice per month thereafter. Angel Paws/R.E.A.D. gratefully accepted an invitation to become the official sponsor of Indian Mound Mall’s “Lil Planet Kid” program for pre-school aged children in 2006. “Lil Puppy Tales” with Angel Paws/R.E.A.D. provided informal group story time for per-schoolers once per month.
Angel Paws implemented it’s first R.E.A.D. literacy mentoring program at Kairos Academy for students with dyslexia and other learning differences in July of 2005.
