Presentations
Angel Paws is happy to come to your church, club, business or organization to provide an informative and inspiring power point presentation complete with slide shows and videos. We will bring our own lap top, projector, sound and electrical extension cords. We would love it if you could provide an electrical outlet, blank wall to project on and a table for our projector, lap top and materials. A registered Pet Partners Therapy Dog Team may or may not be available. Please contact Angel Paws Founder/Director for more information.
Information Booths
Angel Paws is happy to come to your event to provide an informative and inspiring display table. We would love it if you could provide a 6 foot table or 2 card tables. If not, we may be able to bring our own along with our own awning. One or more registered Pet Partners Therapy Dog Teams may or may not be available. Please contact Angel Paws Founder/Director for more information.
Facility Program Implementation
As our base of qualified volunteer continues to grow we look forward to partnering with more facilities on our waiting list! However, with increased frequency comes increased risk so, although we do not charge a fee for our services, our programs are by no means casual, trivial or careless.
Having animals come to various settings for safe and effective participation in therapeutic interactions as part of a carefully planned, implemented and evaluated program is still a relatively new concept and, while happy and positive for most, is occasionally upsetting to some. Our teams receive extensive training and must go through detailed preparation for each visit, and they do their best to conduct themselves with sensitivity and professionalism. We find that having a clear understanding between our organization and volunteers, and you and your staff, helps things go smoothly and avoids potential difficulties in our efforts to both maximize benefits and minimize risk for all concerned.
With these considerations in mind the first step in our program collaboration and implementation process is to schedule an initial administrative meeting and presentation. All administrative staff members who will be responsible for the approval and/or execution of our program must be present in order to avoid potential misunderstandings and miscommunications about exactly what we offer, how we work, and why.
Facility Staff asked to attend introductory presentation include:
1 Administrative Director
2 Activities Director
3 Volunteer Director
4 Nursing Director
5 Risk Management/Infection Control
6 Public Relations
Our presentation will include handouts and a power point presentation including video clips. If you can a table to put a laptop and projector on, an electrical outlet, and a blank wall or screen to project onto we will bring our own lap top, projector & extension cords. One hour for the presentation/meeting is best (if possible but may be shortened to 1/2 hour if necessary) with access to the room roughly 1/2 hour before the meeting to set up and 1/2 hour after to clear out.
We look forward to working with you! Please contact us for more information.
